Also see our Eco-Awareness Page

We recognize the following businesses as making significant steps towards ecological practices and awareness. It may be through community involvement, conscientious tourism, permaculture, or conservation efforts.

Travel USA from Ecuador Green Tortoise Adventure Travel San Francisco, CA USA.  We, Michelle and Andres, met while working for the Green Tortoise before moving to Ecuador.  There's nothing else like the Green Tortoise - PERIOD.  Their buses are beautiful, with names and literally millions of miles of character. The passengers are happy. They don't sit up all night with their heads against the window, but sleep lying down on fitted sheets over mattresses on raised platforms and bunk beds, listening to beautiful music as they doze off.  We learned the essentials while working for the Green Tortoise: great food, comfortable beds, friendly atmosphere and incredible scenery.  http://www.greentortoise.com
