Desserts, cakes and cookies... or wine, beer and whiskey!

Relax... Our goal is to make you feel at home.

Make yourself at home and have what you want when you want it.  We run on the honor system, so you don’t have to dig into your pockets to pay each time you want an ice cold beer.  Just mark it down on your tab and we’ll settle the bill before you leave.  After day hiking in the cloud forest you can try sweating in the SAUNA - HOT TUB combination, or indulge in a home baked chocolate brownie, banana bread or oatmeal cookies. Tea, fresh brewed coffee and purified water are always FREE  -anytime.  So sip away while reading about Ecuador in one of the many photo books on the coffee table.
Veggie Food Ecuador

Feeling Homesick?  No problem!  At the Black Sheep Inn you can keep in touch with friends and family back home via Satellite Internet Service with wireless available in the main lodge.  You can surf the web, check your e-mail and plan the rest of your South American Adventure.

Ecuador Hotel Budget Every Sunday at the Black Sheep Inn we serve a special breakfast of
Pancakes & Jazz.  Don’t forget to bring your saxophone!  Thick, American pancakes piled high with fresh fruit salad, homemade sugarcane syrup, butter and jam. And always plenty of strong steaming hot coffee while listening to Dave Brubeck, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Preservation Jazz Hall Band, Stan Getz and Ella Fitzgerald, just to name a few of our favorites.
Ecuador Sauna Eco Hotel Many declare that the best way to wake up at the Black Sheep Inn is on the 100 meter zip line, a cable swing that launches off the tree house.  Even better than an espresso!  You can also relax before going to bed in our Sauna - Sweat Lodge/Hot Tub combination.  Black Sheep Inn sauna is an eclectic combination of a traditional Finnish Sauna and a Native American Indian Sweat Lodge.  Some people say that the Finnish sauna is for cleaning the body, and the Native American sweat dome for ritualistic purification.  At the Black Sheep Inn both ways feel fantastic!  The hot tub is heated off of the same woodstove that heats the sauna through a thermal siphon, this means there are no pumps or electricity used, just natural hot water.

Inside Our Sauna

Black Sheep Hotel Ecuador Our 10 acre farm is growing. We’ve got dogs, cats, ducks, geese, pigs, chickens, guinea pigs (CUYS), llamas, and of course a flock of Black Sheep!  All our animals are friendly and love attention. Our llamas are in training to take you on Andean Llama Treks.  Our chickens and ducks lay eggs.  And the Black Sheep… We started with a pair, and learned that two black sheep will produce adorable black lambs.  They are the most majestic looking mascots imaginable.

Our music collection at the Black Sheep Inn is diverse. Yes, we love the Andean folk music but we don’t play it all day long.  Typically we might play Mozart or Vivaldi for Breakfast, Simon and Garfunkel in the afternoon, and an evening mix would include the Gipsy Kings, Dave Matthews Band, Indigo Girls, and The Beatles.  We also have a book exchange, extensive lending library, indigenous artwork, and local crafts for sale.

HONEYMOON Romantic Special!!!  We can put 2 dozen long stem roses and an ice cold bottle of Chilean Champagne in your room for a romantic arrival.   Costs $25 and we need 3 days advance notice.
